By Justice Shafeyei M. Shah – December 1997

I joined the Committee in charge of the Home in the 1960’s. Rev. Dr. J.C. Mac Donald was the Chairman and my father, M.H. Shah a Muslim, was its Hon. Secretary. Today, the Home is situated on a busy thoroughfare place on the periphery of the town. The only people who went past it did so to catch or pick “dongs.” Mr. Sinanan was the caretaker and he lived in one room in the premises.
